Hi everyone! I decided to do a big laundry session over the weekend since I had a lot of blankets and winter jackets piled up, but my Gorenje WA50075 surprised me. In the middle of the cycle it just stopped with a full drum of water and started making a strange intermittent beeping sound, even though it was running quietly before that.

I already unplugged it from the socket and tried to force a drain cycle, but it seems completely frozen and not responding to the program buttons. Could it be that it just overheated because I ran three cycles back-to-back on high temperature, or is this more likely the electronics starting to fail due to age and I should start saving for a new one? Does anyone maybe still have the manual for this model? Because I definitely don’t have it at home.

Don't go rushing to throw it out just yet - these models are actually pretty durable. It's likely that your drain filter is blocked with fluff from the blankets, and the device can't drain the water, so it halts the program for safety reasons. I had a similar issue myself, and I went through a ton of forums before I checked a proper manual on manualmachine.com website. They actually describe the exact procedure for this kind of error and how to manually drain the water using the emergency hose so you don't flood the apartment. Man, you should check the maintenance section to see how to properly clean the pump housing. There's a good chance that something big got stuck inside. And overheating is unlikely. There's a thermostat in there that would just stop the next cycle from starting if the sensors were out of range. When you try to start the drain cycle, do you hear the pump making noise?
